fields to import & Prerequisites

A list of the specific data fields that can be imported is listed below in the order that the fields appear on the screen. For ease of import, the fields names are the same as those that appear as labels on the screen. Where a field has been marked as ‘mandatory’ the import cannot be completed unless that data is supplied.

Information and actions required before importing are:

Financial year information set-up
Ledger categories established
System setting reviewed and changed if needed - SupressCreationOfParentAccounts
- If not ticked, then parent accounts will be created if they're not supplied in the import file e.g. importing 1200-200-01 will create parent accounts 1200-000-00 and 1200-200-00. NOTE: Descriptions for Parent Accounts in this scenario are not imported and need to be manually updated
- If ticked, then parent account are not created e.g. importing 1200-200-01 will not create any other accounts
