There are specific setup requirements that must and can be made to take full advantage of the sales order module.

Batch Process Types- stored procedures that control the sales orders that are returned to the grid for processing
Back Order Priorities - priorities for back orders
Price Scheme Maintenance - creating and maintaining price schemes that control pricing on sales orders and quotes
Payment Types - specific payment types that can be attached to different General Ledger bank accountsGeneral Ledger accounts where the field Classification is 'Bank'. These types of accounts are the only ones that can be reconciled using the Bank Reconciliation form. They are also the only accounts that can be selected in Cash Book Receipts, Cash Book Payments and Cheque Payment form to record monetary transactions
Credit Reason Maintenance - options for sales order credit notes
Document Types - setup for specific types of documents that can be attached to sales orders
Note Types - setup for types of Notes that can be entered on sales orders
To Do Types - categorising types of Tasks that can be created for sales orders
