Inventory Tables Overview

Details on inventory items are stored in IN_Main. Lookup tables for classifications, categories and groups are maintained in IN_Classification, IN_Category, IN_Group, IN_GroupLink and IN_CollectionOfGroups.

The IN_SOH table is updated as receiving slips are created and sales orders processed. IN_Transfer also affects this table as stock is transferred in and out and between part numbers while WH_Transfer records details of transfers between warehouses. IN_CostChange records pricing changes that are made to stock on hand while IN_SpecificPrice maintains selective selling price details for stock and hand. IN_StandCost stores new standard cost details and revaluation of stock on hand records.

The component details for bill of materials and kitted inventory items are stored in IN_Components. As inventory items are assembled using the Assembly form, the header details are maintained in IN_Assembly. The history of each assembly and subsequent snapshots are recorded in IN_AssemblyHistory with line details stored in IN_AssemblyLines and IN_AssemblyLineDetails.

IN_Description - alternate descriptions for the part and is used in sales orders where system settings permit

IN_Logical – the descriptions of the logical addresses and IN_LogicalOrder the linking for each warehouse

IN_Creditor, IN_SupplierWarehouse, IN_Freight - supplier information for the inventory items

IN_Price, IN_PriceLink - inventory price and price breaks where different pricing structures apply for orders in quantity

IN_OrderLevels - minimum stock on hand requirements that form part of the calculation for re-stocking

IN_OnBackOrder details stock placed on back order from sales order processing, and IN_BackOrderAlloc records any changes to the priority of allocation for the stock on back order.
