Types
of Sales Orders
There are two types of orders, the difference between
them being the treatment of stock on back order. Input screens and
method of entry and editing are the same.
- Normal
Sales Order - back order stock is allocated to sales orders based
on the FIFO (First In First Out) system of stock management. The
priority of allocation to sales order can be altered by the user
- Back
to Back Sales Orders - stock placed on back order is ordered via
a Back To Back purchase orders which are linked to the originating sales
order. The
delivered stock is then allocated to that sales order by Process Back
