System settings control whether branching facilities are established and whether this option extends through to the General Ledger.
Branch descriptions and ledger segment code are setup in the System Branch Config form.
Branching provides additional reporting and analysis capabilities by recording sales information against the appropriate branches or sales divisions. Where branching is extended to the General Ledger, income and costs are posted at the branch level.
An additional field is displayed on the sales order where this option is active, and the relevant entry is selected from a search window.
