There are a number of setup options that can help maximise the potential of the Inventory module. Inventory Classifications is the only mandatory item.

Inventory Maintenance - controls the posting of transactions to the General Ledger, categorising of items for ease of searching and reporting, and creation of bins locations for managing stock.

Pricing and Regions - to manage warehouse suppliers and prices as well as inventory group pricing

Stock Transfers - creation of different reasons to transfer stock and control postings to specific P&L ledger accounts
