Setting Credit Limit and Account Status

Steps

1. Debtors Maintenance Credit tab
2. Select the debtor from the search window
3. Limit - line of credit allowed to the customer.  The available credit is  displayed in the Financial tab of the record, and is adjusted as sales orders and credit notes are processed and cash book receipts and adjustments are activated.  Type in the amount. A warning displays when creating sales orders when the customer exceeds their limit and the user can still continue. Customer specific code could be implemented for more control. Contact your Jiwa Solution Provider for advice in this regard
4. Hold - the box is checked automatically from End of Period processing when the option is set to place aged accounts On Hold OR it can be checked or unchecked manually.  Set as required. A sales order cannot be created for a debtor On Hold unless the system setting in Invoicing - AllowSaveToReserveOrderWhenDebtorOnHold is ticked

A sales order set to Reserve Order cannot be processed
