Assigning Costs to Jobs

Costs can be assigned to a job by: 

• Creating an estimate for a job and converting that estimate to a Cost; or
• Entering and activating Job Transactions from the menu or from the Transactions tab of the Job Cost form;
• Entering timesheets against jobs
• Receipting goods and services directly to a job – based on a purchase order, or not; or
• Creating creditor purchases and cash book payments directly to a job; or
• A combination of all options

Activating posts the costs to a Work In Progress account according to the Classfication attached to the stage of the Job Cost code.
