Journals that need to be created but have an undetermined posting date or cannot be finalised for any reason can be saved as Pending. When a posting date is decided and or the journal data lines completed, change the status of the journal to Normal and the set is posted when the changes are saved.
A
Pending journal set does not need
to balance before it can be saved. All
the rules for journals must be complied with when the status is changed
to Normal
