lines

Estimates are where costings and charges are created to the detail level and can be entered by the following types:

Field Description
Job No Selected from the search window or typed in full. Only records applicable to the job are displayed for selection
Job Description Job, cost centre and stage descriptions
Line Type Selected from the drop down box
Item & Description Selected from the search window applicable to the Line Type
Transaction Date Defaults to the current login date and can be changed as needed
Qty Estimated quantity for that line type and item to be used on the job
Unit Cost Costs depend on the Line Type as follows and can be overwritten:
  • Inventory - Last Cost from the inventory record
  • Labour - from the Job Cost Labour record for that person
  • Resource - from the Job Cost Resource record for that item
  • Journal, Purchase and Cash Book - manually entered value
